JELD-WEN composite technology conserves our natural resources. Skins and trim boards are made of 100% recycled fiber.

Strong - The extra-wide LVL laminated support rails give JELD-WEN garage doors the strongest structural support in the industry. All surfaces are bonded with waterproof catalyzed glue.

Super Skin - Thermal set melamine resins combined with refined cellulose fibers create an exterior door skin that is virtually impervious to moisture, cracking, rotting, sub-zero freezing, desert heat and the damaging effect of the sun’s ultraviolet rays.

Durable - The JELD-WEN Advanced Polymer skin and trim boards won’t crack, split, separate, shrink, expand, rust or dent. All the materials on the face of the door are made in the same plant and of the exact same materials. The result is an incredibly durable exterior.

The Rich Look of Wood - A deep-definition, wood-grain pattern is available. The grain direction is correctly registered to simulate the texture of an actual wood door.
Our steel garage doors are made of roll-formed American-made steel that has been hot-dip galvanized to resist rust. The doors are then prepainted with a primer and tough polyester top coat providing years of low maintenance and beauty. The WeatherGuard, Heritage, and Stratford models feature DuraSafe pinch-resistant, tongue and groove joints which help prevent injuries to fingers and hands, and provide a tight fit between sections to reduce the infiltration of dirt, dust, and weather. All WeatherGuard, Heritage, and Stratford models feature tamper resistant bottom brackets, flush mount center hinges, and end hinges that leave no room for fingers between sections.
Each door combines the strength of steel with the aesthetics of wood. Exterior surfaces utilize Western Red Cedar, MDO or T1-11 plywood as a base and Western Red Cedar, known for its resistance to warping, cracking, and twisting, as the overlay. For durability and strength, the wood is mounted to a 2-inch commercial steel door. Factory-installed polystyrene insulation provides an extra thermal barrier and the interior is finished with Luan paneling to give the door a complete wood look. Doors are shipped with their natural wood finish allowing for customization of paint and stain.
